WHAT A DAY...........................

What a beautiful day!!!!  One big thing I notice while down south is the horizon to horizon view of the sky.....there is so much sky to see.  I love seeing the phases of the moon as I ride at night in the Cricket.  The cloud formations during the day are interesting.

The resort where we are located has 4 streets...1st street, 2nd street, etc.  and on each street, sites have odd and even numbers.  The odd numbers get the sun in the afternoon....the even numbers get the sun in the morning.....and get to see beautiful sunsets while they eat dinner.  We have usually had an even site, but this year, due to changes at the resort, we are on an "odd" numbered site.....and so it goes.....  I'll explain more about that later, but first "today's adventure"

Bushnell is a country type small town....one drug store, CVS, a couple restaurants (none you would know), a few gas stations, medical center (very small)...altho within walking distance we have Walmart, Arby's, Subway, KFC, Taco Bell, Dollar Store, and McDonald's....plus other little shops.  To go to our bank....Wells Fargo...we have to drive north on I-75 two exits....so today was the day to deposit some checks....so Kate and I took off.  First a stop at McD to get Kate some ice and I got a "treat"....and on to the bank.  When we arrived, it appeared that the bank was NOT open, but was in the process of being TORN DOWN.  The workers there gave me the address where the new one was....lol....so went to punch it in our old GPS...only to see that they wanted money to upgrade our maps.

Next, how to solve this dilemna...I drove to Reliance in Wildwood, a motorhome repair shop....very large and we have been there many times.....and found a couple employees outside, whom I asked if they knew where the new Wells Fargo bank was located.  They knew and said just go across the main road at the light and turn right at the 2nd stop light.  ACROSS THE ROAD is THE VILLAGES...nightmare city......roundabouts, and golf carts ...and at the 2nd light turn right and there it was, with the paint still fresh.  Whew!

Back on track, go back to 301 and turn left and head "home" the back way.   In the little town just north of us on 301, is a wonderful fruit/veg stand.  So got fresh tomatoes, fresh strawberries and some red navel oranges.  Sooooooooooooo good!!  When arriving back in town, the "old man"...a guy who has a fruit stand near us...has his sign out saying ahead on the right and under it NOT LEFT....so I looked left and sure enough, the stand that was there last year, with good deals was back.  I wouldn't have noticed, if he hadn't advertised for them.  As for the "old man"...he stands there and rearranges his fruits (plays with) all day.  Since we have found this great place in Sumpterville, we drive there.

Down here, county location is very much the conversation in all news casts.  We are in Sumpter County.  Each county also has its own laws pertaining to many things including RV's.  In Sumpter County you can live in a campground 12 mo out of a year.  In Sarasota County, you can only stay 9 months and can't step foot in the campground for 90 consecutive days.  Go figure....lol.

More later....still looking for some of my old blogs.....

It was difficult to take pictures while driving with our little pom as a passenger so will add pictures from my file at a different time.

All the windows are open, fans on and all is quiet on the home front.

AT LAST.............

AT LAST......................

Had password problems so just got that all squared away for now......  I get the prize for having the most passwords.

We had a wonderful summer day!!!!  New seasonals arrived behind us today so now I can't drive my Cricket thru their lot to get to ours.......lol.  Soon I'll post a picture of the Cricket.  It got a new paint job over the summer as Florida sun bleaches red real fast.  It is now the color of the motorhome with red pin striping.

Tonight I made a quick trip to the puzzle room to tape a box together....and when I return, Kate always gets a ride around the block.  She loves to "go"....and barks at anything that moves.  It was a great ride...temp great and lots of Christmas lights are still up.  This week will be a crazy week due to New Year's Day.  I was thinking about going to Wildwood tomorrow, which is 2 exits north on I-75, but may reconsider.  The traffic south right now is beyond incredible.  It's a wonder Florida doesn't just sink into the ocean.  I would come back a back road so I could stop at a fruit stand for some red navel oranges, tomatoes and strawberries.....so good!!!  Yep, probably take Kate with me.  We should have called her "Go"....  She and Cottie are such good buddies and they both together snore louder than WHN and me.....lol.  Well, let's see if the link works.....night all.  Gotta watch the Steelers.....I taught #15 in elementary school.  :-)

FRIENDS

Well, life has many bumps in the road.  As many know, I am on Facebook.  I have "friends" from elementary school, high school, college, career, former students, relatives, campground friends, common interest friends.......I treasure especially the friends I "grew up" with.

We recently had an experience we never expected...and we made a choice to leave a location where we had spent a lot of time.  We left quietly with only a couple people knowing we were leaving for the "season".   Evolving from that were nasty emails...and we're not sure what else.  We thought we had many friends at that location....but when untrue thoughts by others start circulating..there is no one standing in your corner....or who even wants to talk to you and if they do, fear someone finding out.  We have had mail returned to us.  "Friends" ignore any connection to chat. Are we adults?  or living in fear that if they have any connection to either of us, they, too, are doomed to the same fate portioned onto us.....and so it goes.  Life moves on........but it really makes me wonder.....is a friend "really" a friend??  Just what is a friend???

Well, the motorhome is ready to roll, Christmas gifts all ordered and "made" and ready for the "season".  We are doing all the necessary things to move on......and looking forward to a great winter.

I've made some incredible breakthroughs with our family's Ancestry and have lots of work yet to do.  Also the "book"' is ready to flow from mind to fingers.   Have lots of handcraft things packed to work on, books to read......and of course, walking and swimming to look forward to....and reconnecting with "friends".    Enjoy the fun of Halloween....I'm the witch with broom in hand......rofl.

DO PROBLEMS COME IN 3'S???

We don't need any more troubles......hope 3 is the limit.  First, we no longer can stay at a campground we have been "residing" for the past 35+ years.  Second, the IRS says we owe them a lot of money and we don't agree.  Third, we have serious brake problems with the MH.  WHN has spent a lot of time on the phone trying to find some local RV facility to take a look at the problem and fix it.

He just drove to an RV place in PA as they don't return our calls.  We called the only RV dealer in Dover, DE.  They can fit us in in December.......  We called the place we get the MH fixed in Florida and they said "Don't even consider driving it anywhere".....

CAN'T STOP ME NOW.....................

Well, one might say a lot of water has "swept" over the dam, since my last post.  The past is in the past and both of us are "movin on".....

I have spent the day in "password heaven".  I can't figure out the correct password for a given site.....with my 4 pages of passwords for various sites and each one different but relevant.  When I find the PW for my previous blog, probably will go back to it.  At this point only God knows what it is.

In addition, my old laptop "croaked" its last "croak" so got a new laptop and as technology would have it, the printer I had for the laptop....couldn't find a driver for it.  I tried and tried....so read some Motorhome magazines as to what was best for "traveling" and bought was was recommended by many.  It prints, scans, copies and is wireless which is great for the iPad (I think....since it is Apple oriented and my laptop is a PC).  Turns out it has a much larger "footprint' than I had hoped so will figure it all out later this week.  This is what I will use on our trip south.

Spent the rest of the day making important appointments before our departure....like my botox injections.  Since the neuro-opthamologist only comes to Newark one day a month.....got it made and arrangements made to have my records sent to the office of the appointment.  My last injections were in early June and are just wearing off.  That is probably the longest I have gone.  I'm also contacting magazines to change our address for 4 months, which is also a challenge.  A lot of t's to cross and i's to dot.

We are looking forward to our trip to Pennsylvania as the colors should be in full color.  There are mountains on all sides of where we have Albie located at present.  The doggies love the motorhome. Actually they are happy any where we are.

We have pretty much put a PERIOD on one of the most stressful times of our life.  Time marches on and so will we..............."movin' on down the road."
