What a beautiful day!!!! One big thing I notice while down south is the horizon to horizon view of the sky.....there is so much sky to see. I love seeing the phases of the moon as I ride at night in the Cricket. The cloud formations during the day are interesting.
The resort where we are located has 4 streets...1st street, 2nd street, etc. and on each street, sites have odd and even numbers. The odd numbers get the sun in the afternoon....the even numbers get the sun in the morning.....and get to see beautiful sunsets while they eat dinner. We have usually had an even site, but this year, due to changes at the resort, we are on an "odd" numbered site.....and so it goes..... I'll explain more about that later, but first "today's adventure"
Bushnell is a country type small town....one drug store, CVS, a couple restaurants (none you would know), a few gas stations, medical center (very small)...altho within walking distance we have Walmart, Arby's, Subway, KFC, Taco Bell, Dollar Store, and McDonald's....plus other little shops. To go to our bank....Wells Fargo...we have to drive north on I-75 two exits....so today was the day to deposit some checks....so Kate and I took off. First a stop at McD to get Kate some ice and I got a "treat"....and on to the bank. When we arrived, it appeared that the bank was NOT open, but was in the process of being TORN DOWN. The workers there gave me the address where the new one was....lol....so went to punch it in our old GPS...only to see that they wanted money to upgrade our maps.
Next, how to solve this dilemna...I drove to Reliance in Wildwood, a motorhome repair shop....very large and we have been there many times.....and found a couple employees outside, whom I asked if they knew where the new Wells Fargo bank was located. They knew and said just go across the main road at the light and turn right at the 2nd stop light. ACROSS THE ROAD is THE VILLAGES...nightmare city......roundabouts, and golf carts ...and at the 2nd light turn right and there it was, with the paint still fresh. Whew!
Back on track, go back to 301 and turn left and head "home" the back way. In the little town just north of us on 301, is a wonderful fruit/veg stand. So got fresh tomatoes, fresh strawberries and some red navel oranges. Sooooooooooooo good!! When arriving back in town, the "old man"...a guy who has a fruit stand near us...has his sign out saying ahead on the right and under it NOT LEFT....so I looked left and sure enough, the stand that was there last year, with good deals was back. I wouldn't have noticed, if he hadn't advertised for them. As for the "old man"...he stands there and rearranges his fruits (plays with) all day. Since we have found this great place in Sumpterville, we drive there.
Down here, county location is very much the conversation in all news casts. We are in Sumpter County. Each county also has its own laws pertaining to many things including RV's. In Sumpter County you can live in a campground 12 mo out of a year. In Sarasota County, you can only stay 9 months and can't step foot in the campground for 90 consecutive days. Go figure....lol.
More later....still looking for some of my old blogs.....
It was difficult to take pictures while driving with our little pom as a passenger so will add pictures from my file at a different time.
All the windows are open, fans on and all is quiet on the home front.
